*I am not a mechanic. I don’t know an end wrench from a plumber’s friend, but I am interested in the form, the outer skin, of automobiles, especially cars from the 1930’s. I consider that time to be the Golden Age of auto design. I am also intrigued by the over-the-top, chrome laden boats from the 50’s and 60’s as well as some of the quirky, ill-fated products of Detroit’s so called, design departments.

There are so many more interesting, curious and creative designs out there, such as the Aqua Car, the Aero Car, the shoddy old Soviet Lada, the Hummer, the Hillman Minx (My candidate for one of the worst cars ever built.) as well as Willys, Hudson, DeSoto and La Salleā€¦. and more.

This has been so much fun I think the theme deserves further examination.
