SCHOENHUT'S
TOY
HUMPTY DUMPTY CIRCUS
from
the collection of Bob Leet

Now through January 15, 2007

The Albert Schoenhut Toy Company (1872-1936) began by producing piano toys and expanded to making dolls, dollhouses, blocks and other wooden toys. In 1903 the company began making a toy clown that became one of the most popular toys of the time. The popular clown became the foundation of the Humpty Dumpty Circus. The circus line includes many different human and animal figures some of which are in our exhibit. This may be the only time you will have a opportunity to see such an exceptional exhibit and it is guaranteed to transport viewers into the fantasy world of a circus.
